Officials with MoDOT are closing part of Mount Vernon Street in Springfield for construction.
The road will be closed at the railroad crossing for MNA west of Kansas Expressway to replace the current crossing and roadway surface.
The construction will begin next Monday, August 21, and is expected to be completed by August 28.
The timetable could change due to potential weather causing delays. Drivers are advised to use an alternate route when travelling.
