Douglas County Inmate Called Alleged Victim From Jail

A Douglas County inmate has been indicted by a grand jury after contacting alleged victims from jail.

A grand jury indicted Shawna Ross on three counts of tampering or attempting to tamper with a victim.

She faces charges of sex crimes with a child.

Douglas County Sheriff Chris Degase says she placed multiple calls to her alleged victims using another inmate’s phone and pin number.

A judge has ordered Ross to stand trial for the sex crimes in December.
