The suspect in the shooting of two Herman Police officers has been taken into custody.
The Highway Patrol says Kenneth Lee Simpson surrendered around 2 PM after a standoff at a house across the street from the Caseys where the shooting occurred Sunday night.
Officers were called to the Caseys around 9 PM.
Detective Sergeant Mason Griffith died from his injuries in the shooting.
Officer Adam Sullentrup is hospitalized in serious condition.
