Republicans in the Missouri Senate are pushing a bill forward that is aimed at combating Critical Race Theory in schools.
Senator Andrew Koenig’s bill, S.B. 4, is part of a series of 3 bills that make up a ‘Parents Bill of Rights’ initiative that is aimed at increasing transparency to parents in schools, and pushing back against what Republicans see as ‘radical and divisive ideology.’

Democrats are pushing back on this legislation, saying that the bill restricts the teaching of race and history.
