A woman is hospitalized in serious condition after being hit by a van in North Springfield Monday evening.
The driver of the van struck the woman as she was crossing West Avenue near Calhoun.
The driver then crashed the van into a utility pole.
Springfield Police do not believe the drive was impaired.
