Woman from McDonald County Back in Custody Following Arrest in Indiana

A woman from McDonald County is back in custody after posting bond in a case against her for her husband’s death.

Dawn Wynn faces charges of second-degree murder and armed criminal action in the death of her husband, Harold Wynn, in November of 2021.

Investigators say Wynn shot her husband in the back of the head while he was sleeping.

She was declared out on bond in August of last year, but then came up missing.

After a months long search, authorities were able to track Wynn to a hotel in Terre Haute, Indiana after an employee recognized her from news coverage.

Officers say she was using an alias.

Wynn is now in the process of being extradited back to McDonald County to stand trial.
