WANTED: Volunteers to Clean up Roadways in Missouri

Every spring, as snow and ice face to an unpleasant memory, attention turns to the trash that’s accumulated on roadsides during the winter months.

The Missouri Department of Transportation is inviting everyone who uses roads in our state to help with spring cleaning in the month of April.

MoDOT will provide trash bags and safety vests to anyone who volunteers.

The state spends about $6 million each year removing litter from more than 385,000 acres of right of way along 34,000 state highway miles.

To learn more about how you can safely participate in No MOre Trash, visit www.modot.org/adopt-highway or call 1-888-ASK-MODOT (1-888-275-6636).
