Work Resumes on James River Freeway Widening Project Between Highway 65 and Glenstone

Work will resume Monday night on the James River Freeway widening project between Highway 65 and Glenstone in Springfield.

Crews will pave the inside shoulder westbound on James River.

Starting on Tuesday, traffic will be shifted toward the new inside shoulder and center barrier wall to begin work on the outside lanes and shoulders of the highway both east and westbound.

MoDOT says drivers can expect narrow lanes and slower traffic.

The work should take about two months to complete.
