Police say the suspect in a triple murder in St. Louis County shot himself inside a car as officers tries to arrest him Friday.
Authorities say Bobby McCulley III died from his injuries.
Law enforcement officers believe MuCulley shot his estranged wife, Roseann McCulley, and two of her children, Kayden Johnson, 13, and Kaylee Brooks, 6, early Friday morning.
Prosecutors filed charged against McCulley before he killed himself. St. Louis television station KSDK reports a probable cause statement indicates McCulley unlawfully entered Roseann McCulley’s home late Thursday night “with the purpose of killing her.”
Investigators say he held the woman and her children against their will and after several hours, shot and killed them.
A statewide Amber Alert went out early Friday morning after a one-year-old girl was taken from the scene of the murder by McCulley.
The alert was cancelled within an hour after the baby was found safe with relatives.
