A man from Springfield accused of sexually assaulting a child for years will spend years in prison after entering a guilty plea.
Prosecutors say Sebastian Mayhew pleaded guilty to charges of child molestation and statutory rape on Thursday.
He was initially charged with three counts of rape and one count of child molestation.
Court records show that Mayhew allegedly sexually abused a child for a five year period, beginning when the child was four years old.
He was sentenced Thursday to 25 years in prison for each charge, but there has been no indication of they will be served concurrently or separately.
