A man who is known to frequent the Springfield area has been arrested on St. Louis on federal drug charges.
Prosecutors say 30-year-old Melvin “Yoshi” Morgan was arrested earlier this week on a list of charges including:
- Three counts of possession with the intent to distribute meth, fentanyl, and cocaine
- Possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking
- One count of a prohibited person in possession of a firearm
The FBI had been searching for Morgan since the charges were filed in August.
Billboards were put up around the Springfield metro area in the search for Morgan, who has been seen in the area numerous times in the past.
A potential court date has not been released at this time.
