Two Bolivar Police officers are being hailed as heroes after they rescued a person from a fire over the weekend.
Crews responded to a fire at an apartment complex on East Division Street in Bolivar early Sunday morning.
Bolivar police Corporal Mark Morris and Officer Timothy Stillings crawled into the burning building and rescued the person inside.
Morris and Stilling will be given the Bolivar Police Department’s Meritorious Service Award on Tuesday, June 28, at 6:30 pm at the Bolivar City Hall.
