Police have taken a women into custody a week after a child died in her care.
47-year-old Deborah Lundstrom owned and operated a daycare from her home on North Washington. According to investigators, she was unlicensed and running the facility illegally.
Investigators say on March 2, Lundstrom left the home with 9 children inside unattended, including an 8-month-old child she had placed in a car seat. When she returned, the child was unresponsive.
The infant was rushed to the hospital and was later pronounced dead. No cause of death has been determined at this time.
Lundstrom has been charged with first-degree involuntary manslaughter, first-degree endangering the welfare of a child resulting in death, eight counts of first-degree endangering the welfare of a child and operating a child care facility without a license.
