About 600 Missouri National Guard members are assisting the Missouri State Highway Patrol during the snowstorm.
Governor Parson activated them as part of the State of Emergency Tuesday.
Missouri State Highway Patrol Captain John Hotz says that having the Guard assist them is better than having people stranded for hours like what happened on Interstate 95 in Virginia in January.
The State of Emergency order ends March 3rd.
