A house fire in Mountain Grove has left five people without a home, but resulted in no injuries early Monday morning.
The Mountain Grove Fire Department received a call of a working structure fire at around 3 a.m. When they arrived, they found the home fully engulfed, and firefighters had to take a defensive strategy to battle the flames.
The Wright County Sheriff informed firefighters before arriving that all five individuals inside the home made it out safely. First responders seized operations after the owner told firefighters to “let it go”. No cause of the fire has been determined.
The response ended with firefighters calling a towing service to pull out one of the fire engines that had become stuck.
