The Salvation Army in Springfield is hosting a Christmas Day Lunch for people who need a hot meal.
The group is prepared to host up to 530 people this year.
The meal takes place from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Salvation Army headquarters on Chestnut Expressway near Kansas Expressway in Springfield.
The meal includes turkey with all the trimmings, rolls from Lamberts and pies from Village Inn.
