Springfield Firefighters battled a fire at a house where a shooting had taken place on Monday.
The house is in the 2000 block of North Marion.
Two people in the home at the time got out uninjured.
Springfield Police say 61 year old Lavonna Haddock was found dead of a gunshot wound at the house on Monday.
The Greene County Prosecutor charged 66 year old Lilburn Motley with first degree murder and armed criminal action in the case.
