Thunderstorms have produced wind gusts as high as 50 miles per hour as they moved across the western Ozarks Wednesday night.
The National Weather Service says a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for central Barton and central Jasper Counties expired at 9:45 p.m.
We’ve had reports of 50 mile per hour winds as the storms moved through the Joplin area, with 45-50 mile per hour wind gusts in Pineville.
As forecasters expected, the storms have shown a weakening trend as they track off to the east.
A strong thunderstorm is impacting portions of southern Cedar and Dade Counties through 10:15 p.m.
Wind gusts up to 50 miles per hour are possible.
Strong thunderstorms are also impacting parts of Newton, McDonald, Barry, Lawrence and Jasper Counties through 10 p.m., with 50 mile per hour winds possible in these counties as well.
