The Missouri State Highway Patrol says there were seven traffic fatalities and one boating fatality over the Labor Day weekend counting period.
Last year there were 18 fatalities during the counting period.
The seven traffic fatalities were outside of the Troop D area.
The one boating fatality occurred in Troop D when a 14 year old St. Louis girl was killed in a jet ski crash on Table Rock Lake.
