A part owner of Specialty Foods in Joplin and six others have pleaded guilty to conspiring to hire and transport illegal immigrants across the Midwest.
José Luis Bravo admitted that he and the other defendants helped workers to immigrate to and live in the U.S. illegally.
Bravo and his co-conspirators created Specialty Foods Distribution and other companies to operate restaurants in Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kansas, where the undocumented workers were employed.
