The operator of a Branson amusement ride may have been using marijuana when two Texas women fell off.
K-O-L-R TV obtained a record from the Missouri Division of Fire Safety’s Amusement Ride Safety Unit on the accident that occurred on the Shepherd of the Hills Copperhead Mountain Coaster in Branson in November of 2024.
The records show there was a last-minute switch in staff.
The employee was not trained to work on the ride and didn’t know how to check the seat belts.
The records also showed the employee allegedly tested positive for marijuana the next day at Cox Health.
The two women are suing Shepherd of the Hills for $50 million dollars after they fell from the coaster and broke their necks.
