Today marks the first day of the 2025 Missouri legislative session in Jefferson City.
Day one revolves around calling the session to order. Governor-Elect Mike Kehoe has told lawmakers he’d like to see the, focus on a wide-ranging anti-crime bill, workforce and childcare issues, and education. Legislators are also expected to work on changes to the income tax, and taking a closer look at the recently passed Amendment Three which legalizes abortion in Missouri.
Session will come to a close on Friday, May 16th.
