Following it’s official certification last week, the Missouri Gaming Commission is working towards opening sports betting by late summer of 2025.
Amendment 2 indicated that the Missouri Gaming Commission would have to license and regulate sports betting no later than December 1st, 2025. According to the commission, staff has been workshopping specific rules and regulations since before the November election.
Since Missouri is relatively late to sports betting, the commission has been able to communicate with states that have legalized it, learning what does and doesn’t work.
