After a nationwide search, City Utilities in Springfield is announcing its new President and CEO.
Officials with CU revealed Friday that Dwayne Fulk has been tabbed to lead the company as the person in charge.
Fulk has been with City Utilities since 2017, where he most recently served as the Senior Vice President- Chief Legal and Economic Development Officer.
He oversaw seven different departments within CU in that role.
Fulk will take over as President and CEO effective November 1 of this year.
He released a statement Friday, expressing his gratitude on being chosen for the position:
“I’m honored to be selected as the next President and CEO of City Utilities. My focus in the first 100 days will be on developing and implementing a clear transition plan, communicating our progress, and ensuring alignment acros the organization. I’m committed to listening to our employees, streamlining processes, and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration. Through constant engagement with the Board of Public Utilities and our customers, I look forward to reinforcing our commitment to reliable, affordable and sustainable utility services in the Springfield Community.”
