A man has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for the first-degree murder of his father.
Court documents say 47-year-old Chantry Hale of Sparta also received an additional 30 years for armed criminal action, to be served consecutively in the death of Jimmy Hale in August 2023.
Witnesses say that Hale allegedly struck his father and then shot him.
His body was found wrapped and bound with duct tape.
