The Trump Administration has cut $2 billion in funding nationwide for mental health and substance abuse programs, and it’s having an impact in the Ozarks.
A spokesman with Centerstone says the programs provided mental health training for community members and suicide prevention.
28 programs in seven states are affected by the funding cut, including Missouri, with the agency projected to lose around $14.3 million by the end of the year.
