Springfield City Utilities is initiating the next phase of its water service line identification process which is mandated by the EPA’s Revised Lead and Copper Rule.
C-U will begin door-to-door inspections for water service lines with unknown materials starting next week.
Customers will receive notifications via text or phone two days before inspections.
The process is expected to take one to two years.
