The first homicide in Springfield of 2026 occurred Wednesday.
Springfield Police responded to a domestic assault report at 3525 S. Juniper Avenue, where they found 47-year-old Suzette Flores dead.
Officers arrested 34-year-old Felipe Ayala III for first-degree murder.
The case being reviewed for potential charges.
He is in the Greene County Jail.
