Former Youth Pastor Arrested In Elkland for Oklahoma Charges

A former Blue Eye pastor has been indicted by an Oklahoma grand jury on charges of first-degree rape and lewd acts involving a child under 16.

68-year-old Joseph Campbell was arrested by US Marshals in Elkland and is currently held without bond in Greene County Jail.

The Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office says the crimes allegedly occurred in 1984 while he was the youth pastor at Eastland Assembly of God Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

President Trump Addresses the Nation Wednesday Night: Live Coverage on KWTO

President Trump will deliver an address to the nation live from the Diplomatic Reception Room of the White House Wednesday night at 8:00.

We’ll have live coverage of the President’s address on 93-3 and AM 560 KWTO.

The theme for the speech is “The Renewal of the American Dream,” and President Trump is expected to talk about his accomplishments over the year and possibly tease some policy coming in the new year.

Greene County WIC Program Renewed

The Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services has renewed the WIC program contract in Greene County, allocating $1,838,662 for fiscal year 2026.

In fiscal year 2025, the Springfield-Greene County WIC served 10,894 members, with an income eligibility threshold set at 185% of the federal poverty level, amounting to $49,303 for a family of three and $59,478 for a family of four.

City Council Approves Eminent Domain of Hotel of Terror

Springfield City Council members have unanimously approved starting the eminent domain process to take over Hotel of Terror and the land it sits on along Main Street.

The city wants to replace a 100-year-old bridge.

The attraction’s owner, Sterling Mathis, says he’s not opposed to giving up the lot, but wants three and a half million bucks.

The city’s most recent offer was two million.

The value of the building and land will be decided by a commission of three independent assessors, and if an agreement still can’t be reached, the matter will go to court.

House Fire In Ozark

Firefighters responded to a house fire on Park Boulevard E in Ozark early Monday morning.

The Ozark Fire Protection District received the call before 4 a.m.

The fire originated in the fireplace before spreading to the walls and attic.

There were no injuries, and a significant portion of the home was saved.

Fire units from nearby districts assisted in the effort.

Our panelists debated how to balance the right to grow our economy through new development and zoning changes with the rights of citizens to stand up against what they believe will hurt their neighborhoods.

Our panel featured Springfield City Manager David Cameron, Springfield City Councilman Craig Hosmer, Galloway Neighborhood Association President Melanie Bach, and local businessman and developer Jeff Seifried.

The Town Hall meeting was hosted by KWTO News Director Don Louzader and Former Missouri House Speaker Elijah Haahr, host of The Elijah Haahr Show weekday afternoons from 4-6 on KWTO.

Homicide Investigation in Willard

Willard Police are investigating a homicide.

Officers found a man dead at a house on Fox Drive around 3 AM Monday morning.

A person of interest has been arrested on suspicion of felony domestic assault, but charges have not been filed.

Police are trying to notify the victim’s family.

Stone County Deputies Arrest Shooting Suspect

Stone County Deputies arrested a suspect in a shooting on Monday night.

The Stone County Sheriff’s Department announced that 43-year-old Mathew Washington of Crane was arrested for allegedly shooting a woman in the head at a house on Timberline Lane Monday night.

The woman is hospitalized in stable condition.
