A man from Monett is accused of shooting and killing a woman over the weekend.
The Monett Police Department says Alan Michael Mellow, who’s 33, is charged with first degree murder, armed criminal action and child endangerment for the death of Hannah Lee Blizard.
Officers say Mellow and Blizard shared a three-month-old child, and they had a domestic dispute in a vehicle on Fairway Avenue in Monett.
The child was also inside the car.
Mellow is accused of firing multiple shots at Blizard, who died at the scene.
He was arrested after going back to his apartment with the youngster.
The infant was taken to the hospital in an ambulance for medical evaluation.
