Charges have been dropped against a man accused of being involved in a woman’s death in 1989.
A Douglas County judge dismissed charges against Wiley Belt of Ava related to the 1989 death of Kelle Ann Workman.
Workman was abducted in Douglas County, and her body was later discovered in Christian County.
Another suspect, Bobby Lee Banks, still faces a second-degree charge, while Leonard Banks has pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and is serving a 15-year prison sentence.
Deputies arrested all three men in February 2024, with all having been suspects since her death.
