A new roundabout is in the works for an intersection in Battlefield.
MoDOT has announced plans for a new configuration on Route FF/West Bypass at Weaver Road.
Improvements would also include widening Weaver Road to accommodate the roundabout.
MoDOT states that the improvements to the intersection will improve the flow of traffic and overall safety, and says that constructing this type of intersection is generally more effective than stoplights.
Officials are hosting a meeting on December 16 from 4:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. so that neighbors can learn more about the planned intersection.
The meeting will be at the Battlefield Fire Protection District Station 1 on West 2nd Street and will be a come-and-go style meeting with no formal presentation planned.
The project is set to begin in 2027 and go for several months.
