Shop in Lebanon, MO Mostly Destroyed in Fire Wednesday

A shop east of Lebanon was heavily damaged during a fire on Wednesday.

According to the Lebanon Rural Fire Protection District, their firefighters were sent to the 25000 block of Ranch Drive for a reported structure fire around 5:30 p.m.

When crews arrived on the scene, they found a shop that was 75% enveloped in flame and a residence attached to the shop that was being threatened by the fire.

Firefighters aggressively attacked, but the crews faced challenging conditions and had to request two additional alarms as the fire grew.

However, after about 5 hours and plenty of assistance from 16 nearby agencies, the fire was contained.

No injuries were reported and everyone in the building were able to safely escape, but the shop was mostly destroyed.

However, a majority of the attached residence was able to be saved.

The Lebanon Rural Fire Protection District says that the Lebanon City Fire Department, Hazelgreen Fire Protection District, Tri-County Fire, Sleeper Fire, Eldridge Fire, Nebo Falcon Fire Protection District, Competition Fire, Conway Fire, Niangua Fire, Marshfield Fire, Mid-County Fire Department, Waynesville Rural Fire, St. Robert Fire, Mercy EMS, the Laclede County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri State Fire Marshal’s Office assisted in containing the blaze.
