Another North Springfield road has been closed due to rail crossing work.
West Division Street just east of Kansas Expressway was closed Tuesday morning at the BNSF Railway crossing and will remain closed through Monday, November 24.
During the closure, crews will be replacing the crossing and roadway surfaces, which the city of Springfield says will improve safety, ride quality, and long-term maintenance.
This closure comes just weeks after similar work shut down part of West Chestnut Expressway for several days.
Both projects are part of an overarching plan to replace 20 rail crossings around the city.
