Springfield Police have made an arrest in a homicide at the Old Monterey Apartments.
Officers responded to a report of gunfire just after 7 AM Tuesday morning.
The body of 21-year-old Delquan Scott was found in a dumpster.
The suspect, 23-year-old Deandre Jones, was arrested after a brief standoff.
Investigators say Scott and Jones knew each other.
Investigators are asking if anyone has any information they are asked to contact Springfield Police.
