After a crucial fourth-quarter touchdown in Sunday afternoon’s game against Denver, Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce officially became the team’s record-holder for regular-season touchdowns.
Kelce broke the record, held previously by running back Priest Holmes, on a pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes that the tight end ran into the end zone for a 21-yard touchdown.
That touchdown put Kansas City up by three points over the Broncos, though the team ultimately fell 22-19.
This historic mark adds to Kelce’s hefty list of accolades, which includes the most playoff receptions, most receiving yards by a tight end in one season, the most career receptions as a Chief, and many more.
