Suspect Connected to Club Rodeo Shooting Arrested

The Springfield Police Department has reported that the suspect wanted in connection to the Club Rodeo shooting that occurred on Sunday, October 19.

In a press release, the department says that Webster County Sheriff’s deputies, Springfield Police officers, and the Greene County Sheriff’s Office’s K9 unit arrested 20-year-old Zachary Degraffenreid on a warrant connected to the shooting.

SPD officers responded to a shooting call outside Club Rodeo on Sunday around 12:21 a.m., where they found a woman with a gunshot wound.

She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries but she was in stable condition.

The suspect, now identified as Degraffenreid, fled prior to officers arriving on the scene and was not located at the time of the shooting.

Degraffenreid is charged with unlawful use of a weapon and is being held without bond.

Detectives are continuing the investigation and ask that anyone with additional information on the shooting to contact the Springfield Police Department at 417-864-1810 or make an anonymous report to Crime Stoppers at 417-869-TIPS (8477).
