Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms are possible along a cold front Wednesday afternoon into the late evening hours, mainly north of I-44.
The National Weather Service says the main threat will be nickel to quarter size hail, with a secondary risk of damaging wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour.
Areas north of a Joplin to Lebanon to Rolla line are under a level 1 “marginal risk” for severe weather, with the Kansas City area in a level 2 “slight risk.”
