A Missouri senator is part of a bi-partisan group of lawmakers supporting a bill to make Route 66 part of the National Park Service.
Senator Eric Schmitt part of a group of Republican and Democrats lawmakers sponsoring the Route 66 National Historic Trail Act.
They say the designation would allocate federal money to help states and towns along Route 66.
