AirPower History Tour Opens Tomorrow at Springfield-Branson Airport

A rare B-29 Super Fortress bomber plane used in World War II flew into the Springfield-Branson National Airport yesterday.

The bomber is part of the AirPower History Tour, which brings stories of WWII aviation to airports across North America.

The B-29 will be shown alongside an AT-6 Texan trainer plane, a PT-13 Stearman trainer, and an RC-45J transport and utility plane during Labor Day weekend.

Public tours and rides in the aircraft will be offered starting tomorrow and going through Monday, September 1st.

More information about the event and ticket prices can be found on the AirPower History Tour’s event page.
