A woman from Taney County is in jail for abandoning dogs in a hot camper to die.
Court documents say Lisa Kidwell of Kissee Mills is charged with five counts of animal abuse.
Court records say this is her second offense.
A probable cause statement says the Taney County Sheriff’s Department found that Kidwell abandoned five dogs in a camper without ventilation when the temperature was over 90-degrees.
Deputies found the decaying bodies of the dogs in a camper filled with feces, urine, trash and dead mice.
Kidwell is being held without bond in the Taney County Jail.
