The school year is approaching fast, and both Missouri and Arkansas are holding their sales tax holiday this weekend, meaning there’s no better time for back-to-school shopping.
School supplies like binders, writing tools, computers, keyboards, or certain clothing items are exempt, though there are purchase limits on items.
For example, clothing purchases must cost under $100 to be exempt in both states.
Due to the exemptions, many stores may be packed with shoppers, which is why many retailers expand the holiday exemptions to their online shops as well.
Missouri’s sales tax holiday begins today, while Arkansas’ will start tomorrow, and both will run through Sunday night.
