The school year is approaching fast, and the Ozarks Food Harvest backpack program returns with it, and Ozarks Food Harvest has begun looking for volunteers for the program.
The program has already welcomed many volunteers, but Director of Communications Jordan Browning says that they will need more help as the semester begins.
Volunteering for the program can be a simple three hours or a more regular commitment, it’s all up to you.
Ozarks Food Harvest backpack programs reach over 50 schools in more than 15 counties, and the food is handed out every Friday and must be non-perishable and kid-friendly.
For more information on the program and how to volunteer, visit the Ozarks Food Harvest’s backpack program webpage.
