A man from Seymour, MO has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after being found guilty of statutory sodomy in May.
Investigation of Bobby Kastning started back in 2019 when a young girl told investigators that he had started abusing her 5 years earlier at his home.
Kastning was originally charged with 3 counts of sodomy and one count of child molestation, but in May of 2021, a judge declared a mistrial.
After the mistrial, Webster County Prosecuting Attorney Ben Berkstresser retried the case, where Kastning was found guilty of sodomy, but not guilty of second-degree child molestation.
According to the Webster County Sheriff’s Office, apparently Kastning had also been a foster parent for years.
