A child from Douglas County is in critical condition after being trapped in a culvert Thursday.
The child was swept into a culvert and trapped by debris near Highway P-P.
An off-duty Ozark County dispatcher tried to cut off the water and was partially swept into the culvert.
Douglas County Deputy Jesse Three-Eagles got pulled into the culvert when he tried to rescue the dispatcher.
Deputy Three-Eagles collided with the child in the culvert, knocking her free.
Deputy Three-Eagles and the dispatcher were treated for their injuries and released from the hospital Thursday night.
