The atmosphere will be conducive for thunderstorms and potential severe weather late Tuesday into Tuesday night, and again during the day on Wednesday.
The National Weather Service says the exact details of timing, locations and hazard types are uncertain as a front moves toward southwest Missouri.
Areas along and north of I-44 are under a Level 1 “marginal risk” for severe storms late Tuesday, with much of the state under a Level 2 “slight risk” of severe weather during the day Wednesday.
Heavy rain and flooding will also be possible.
