Springfield Police Department will reopen the lobby to the South District Station next week.
Starting Monday, the lobby of the police station on Battlefield will be open from 7 AM to 3 PM Monday through Friday.
The lobby had been closed since March of 2020 due to COVID and staff shortages.
The police department is also increasing the phone reporting hours from 7 AM to 7 PM at 417-864-1810.
