A woman is dead after a motorcycle crash on I-49 north of Lamar Friday evening.
The Highway Patrol says the rear tire on the motorcycle blew out, throwing the woman and a man from the cycle.
Both were taken to a Joplin hospital where the woman died from her injuries.
The man is hospitalized in serious condition.
