One person is dead and another airlifted to a local hospital following the crash of a small plane Thursday morning near Cape Fair.
It happened near West State Highway 76 and Flat Creek Road.
Missouri State Highway Patrol Sergeant Mike McClure tells KOLR-10 News troopers responded to the crash near the Stone/Barry County line after a citizen called in that they saw a plane go down.
McClure says the plane was a small civilian aircraft and responders had to cut a path to get to the plane as the crash was not at an airfield.
