Severe Weather Risk Ramps Up in the Ozarks Saturday Evening and Sunday

The risk for severe thunderstorms ramps up Saturday night in the Ozarks as storms move in from the west.

The National Weather Service says large hail will be the biggest risk, especially along and north of a line from Joplin to Stockton to Osage Beach.

Those storms will continue to move across the area Sunday morning. Confidence is higher in areas east of Highway 65 seeing severe storms on Sunday afternoon, but there is still some question on where redevelopment occurs.

We’ll keep you up to date with the latest forecast changes and any watches and warnings on 93-3 and A-M 560 KWTO.
